PHA 452 - Extemporaneous Compounding


Credits: 3

Students will achieve basic and advanced skills in compounding pharmaceutical dosage forms for individualized patient therapy to replace a lack of commercially available products and enhance therapeutic problem-solving between the pharmacist and physician to enhance patient compliance. Students will work independently on research assignments and compounding preparations.

Pre-Requisites: PHA 311  and PHA 312 
Lecture: 1 hour per week
Lab: 6 hours per week
Requirements: Permission of instructor.
