CHM 368 - Protein Chemistry Credits: 3
This course will focus on a number of topics in protein structure, function and biophysics. This course is divided into blocks of material, commencing with an overview/review of protein structure and the techniques used for fundamental characterization of proteins. Subsequent blocks will include in-depth discussions on enzyme kinetics, ligand binding, and protein folding/thermodynamics; spectroscopic techniques fluorescence and solution-state NMR will also be studied. The modular design of the course design allows for the incorporation/rotation of additional/alternative protein chemistry topics as newer fields emerge.
Pre-Requisites: CHM 361 or CHM 365 /PHA 365 Repeatable: 0 Lecture: 3
