The Theatre Arts major combines the liberal arts core curriculum with the required 49 credits of Theatre Arts classes and 36 credits of electives. Theatre Arts majors may opt to use their electives to double major in another field or follow a course sequence in the following concentration: Acting & Directing.

NOTE: The theatre faculty conducts a review of each BA Theatre Arts candidate’s progress at the end of their fourth semester during their sophomore year, to appraise commitment, abilities, growth, and academic progress.
All BA Theatre Arts students are required to audition for all mainstage productions, and accept the roles they are assigned. Mainstage productions are co-curricular, and participants are assigned a grade for credit through the Theatre Practicum course.
