The Wilkes Chemistry and Cannabis Chemistry programs both meet the standards for approval by the American Chemical Society for the professional training of chemists. ACS approval will be maintained for these B.S. programs. Students who complete either of these B.S. programs are certified with the American Chemical Society at graduation. Students completing the B.S. program in Biochemistry or one of the B.A. program tracks (or minors) in Chemistry may be certified, dependent upon students’ choice of chemistry courses. All students should work closely with their academic advisors as they progress toward graduation.
