PSY 252 - Psychopathology Credits: 3
This course examines various mental disorders presented in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), particularly from theoretical, empirical, and clinical perspectives. Disorders will be discussed in terms of their presenting symptoms, etiology, assessment, and treatment. We will examine how biological, psychological, and social factors interact to influence the development of disorders, rather than single causes.
