PSY 351 - Health Psychology

This course introduces the basic theoretical concepts and major issues in health psychology. Students will gain insights into the role of psychological and behavioral factors in health promotion, disease prevention, and the enhancement of individuals’ overall quality of life. Topics to be covered include: stress; alcohol and smoking; diet/weight management; physical exercise; and chronic
diseases (e.g., cardiovascular disease, cancer).
