COM 309 - Crime and Political Reporting


Credits: 3

This course explores the press coverage surrounding crime and politics in the United States, with an emphasis on the practice of reporting. Students will learn specifically about access-to-information laws, including the Freedom of Information Act and open meetings and record laws. This is a writing intensive course where students will also strengthen their interviewing, research, and multimedia production skills.
