COM 307 - Sport, Media, and Society

This course examines sports and the role sports media play in society from a critical perspective. Through social science research, students will examine the intersection of sport, media and society to discuss the impact of sport on power structures, education and the economy. Additional topics to be covered may include the portrayal of gender in sport, race in sport and class in sport.
