PS 365 - The Politics of Race and Policing


Credits: 3

An exploration and analysis of the complicated relationship between race and policing in the United States. Special attention will be paid to the history of race and policing and mass incarceration. Students will look at different arguments for why our system incarcerates more people of color. The course will end by asking what, if anything, can be done to repair trust and fix the system.
