GEO 390 - Applied Geophysics


Credits: 3

An introduction to the application of geophysical methods to geological and environmental investigations. Topics include fundamentals of geophysics and hands-on instrument training and measurement. Instruments may include ground penetrating radar, seismic reflection and refraction, electrical resistivity and electromagnetic induction.

Pre-Requisites: GEO 101 , GEO 103 , MTH 112 , PHY 174 , or permission of instructor.
Repeatable: May not be repeated for credit
Lecture: 2 hours per week
Lab: 3 hours per week
