CHM 231 - Organic Chemistry I Credits: 3
An introduction to the chemistry of carbon compounds, this course develops the interconnected relationship between bonding, structure, properties and reactivity in organic compounds. Instrumental methods will be presented as a means to determine structure.
Pre-Requisites: CHM 114 and CHM 116 with a grade of 2.0 or higher. Co-requisites: CHM 233 Repeatable: May not be repeated for credit Lecture: 3 hours of class Discussion: 1 hour of problem session per week
