Secondary Education Major* and Minor

Candidates must maintain a 2.0 GPA in their secondary major courses and a cumulative 3.0 to remain in the Teacher Education Program.

The Secondary Education Major and Minor Consists of the Following Courses:

Students must meet all the requirements for and be admitted to the Teacher Education Program to proceed to all 300 level Education courses.

ED 345 - Assessment in Education Credits: 3 (*required for major only)
ED 375 - Middle Level and Secondary Education Methods with Field Experience Credits: 4 (40-field experience hours) (*required for major only)
ED 380 - Content Area Literacy Credits: 3
ED 3XX (Secondary Methods course in the area of the major degree)
EDSP 388 - Inclusionary Practices Credits: 3 (3 credits; co-requisite: ED 390 )
ED 390 - Student Teaching With Seminar [Pk-4], [4-8], [7-12], and [K-12] Credits: 12 (12 credits; OPO course)

PSY 222 - Adolescent Psychology Credits: 3 (required course for some majors)
A foreign language
