Dance Minor

Total minimum number of credits required for a minor in dance- 18

The dance minor program at Wilkes University offers a comprehensive experience in dance performance, technique, history, and choreography. Students will engage in a combination of technical training and creative exploration, including live performance opportunities and academic study.  

The required courses for the minor in dance are as follows: 

Dance Technique and Performance

Dance Studios and Rehearsal Space


Dance Studios and Rehearsal Space 

Dance courses take place in designated studios featuring sprung floors and mirrors. Students enrolled in the dance minor and dance courses have access to studio space for individual practice or rehearsals. Access to these spaces is managed through the Division of Performing Arts Office. 
 
Dance minors are expected to collaboratively share the rehearsal space.
