PHA 327 - Medical Microbiology Credits: 3
Medical Microbiology will provide the foundations necessary for the application of the discipline to the basic and clinical sciences. The course is divided into three basic parts. Part I of the course will prepare students to understand the basics of bacteria and the concepts behind bacterial infection. Part II will prepare students to understand the basics of viruses, fungi, and other disease-causing microorganisms. Part III will give students an overview of how microorganism plays a role in modern pharmaceutical manufacturing.
